We Have Unlimited Potential to Succeed

We Have Unlimited Potential to Succeed on Our Journey

I was doing some thinking earlier today after watching a story on the news about how a woman went from being on welfare to building a million-dollar business. It was remarkable. She was from a small rural town and created a service for the local community that solved a major problem.

While many people might complain about the cards they are dealt or make excuses, this woman decided to do something to better herself, and her family.

This made me sit back and realize that we truly do have unlimited potential. Every single one of us. Whatever it is that will make you happy or whatever it is that you want to accomplish…you can.

There are no limits.

There is nothing stopping you.

The only thing that will get in the way of you reaching any goal you set for yourself are excuses. And guess what? You have full control over those as well!

You can be happy, or you can be miserable. The choice is entirely yours.

If you want to succeed in anything you set out to do, here are the essentials to help you make it happen.

Remove All Negativity

You cannot expect to go places in life if you are constantly weighed down by negativity. Whether it’s negative thoughts brought on by your own thinking, or surrounding yourself with negative people.

You need to remove it all from your life. Do whatever it takes to rid your life of all negative energy. If that means distancing yourself from friends or family members that constantly bring you down, do it.

In the end it’s your life. You need to do whatever will help you. After all, it’s your dreams and goals. No anyone else. While it may be difficult at first, ridding all negative people and situations from your life will play a major role in your success.

Set Goals

It’s very hard to reach a final destination without a detailed map. Your goals need to be mapped out in order to help you reach them. You need your end goal, as well as a series of smaller, micro goals that are designed to help you achieve that main goal.

Imagine driving to Los Angeles from Boston. You wouldn’t just say you were going to LA. You would plan out the drive with stops along the way. In total, you might have several different cities that you plan to stop at. To eat, get gas, etc.

Those little stops along the way are smaller destinations, and they all work together to help you get to that final end point.

Create a Vision Board

It’s much easier to reach your goals when you are constantly thinking of them. You have to live, eat, sleep and breathe your goals. We are very visual creatures and when you look at something over and over it’s going to become engraved in your mind.

A vision board should have images of your goals. A new house? New car? Some other material possession? Your kids? Family? Whatever it is that you are working towards, you need to have a visual representation of it on your vision board.

Then, place it where you are going to constantly see it. Whether that is in your kitchen or in your office, make it impossible to miss.

Never Doubt Your Journey

It’s very easy to doubt yourself or to quit when things aren’t going your way.

Remember, good things can take time, and nothing happens overnight. The reason why so many people fail is because they give up before they reach the end. If they kept moving forward and working toward the goal they would have eventually reached it.

Not everyone has the mental toughness to make it. If you are willing to take a few bumps and bruises along the way you are going to put yourself in a position to accomplish anything you set out to do.

Tap into Your Inner Motivation

What makes you tick? What is your driving force?

There is no right or wrong answer.

Some people might want to be able to do something nice for their family, while someone might want to treat themselves to something special.

Whatever that “thing” is for you; leverage its power.

Make that the reason you get up every morning and work hard. Make it the reason you push through the hardest times and never give up.

Your inner motivation can be powerful, so identify it and use it to your advantage.

Seeing that woman create something amazing simply because she told herself that she was going to “make it,” really got me thinking. I hope my thoughts can help motivate and push you to accomplish whatever it is that will bring you joy and happiness. Our journey is a short one, so please take full advantage of the opportunities that we all have.
