For many, Consumer Reports is the best indicator of what brands customers enjoy the most. This is especially true for car manufacturers whose category comes down to the simple question, “would you buy your exact car again?”
The more consumers answer yes to that question, the higher brands rank on the customer satisfaction chart. This year, Tesla dominated the survey with a number one ranking. They even managed to beat out Lincoln, a heavyweight champion in this arena. Here’s the breakdown.
Earning the Rank
There are various categories that manufacturers aim to rank in within Consumer Reports, ranging from reliability to customer satisfaction. It’s uncommon for a brand to rank high in every category, but that provides excellent insight into car-buying trends.

It’s not surprising that Tesla dominated the customer satisfaction chart this year. They’ve earned excellent satisfaction rankings in the past.
